Coronavirus update: Decrease in overall daily cases

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 4266 positive cases of coronavirus recorded from PCR and LFD testing.

NHS Glasgow recorded 821 combined tests and NHS Lothian 735.

NHS Grampian saw 456 while NHS Highland recorded 250 positive tests in total.

There were no new deaths recorded with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

In the seven days to April 8, Aberdeenshire saw 1716 positive tests (658.0 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 1374 (599.8 per 100,000) and Moray 702 (733.5 per 100,000).

To date in Scotland more than 4,376,628 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination, over 4,098,867 people have received their second dose, 3,460,077 have had a third booster dose and 163,558 have had a fourth dose.
