Coronavirus update: Daily fluctuation sees Grampian cases rise again

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 4917 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 9.2 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 1312 cases and NHS Lothian 768 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 394 cases while NHS Highland recorded 157 cases.

In the seven days to September 11, Aberdeenshire saw 1609 cases (617.0 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 1196 (522.1 per 100,000) and Moray 253 (264.3 per 100,000) - these figures are now lagging further behind the NHS area statistics by an extra two days compared to their normal 48 hour gap.

30 new deaths have been recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,146,847 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,791,597 people have received their second dose.
