Coronavirus update: City shows a small uplift in cases as Aberdeenshire's totals remain low

Scotland saw 390 positive cases in the last 24 hours an increase from the previous day's total of 555

This equated to 3.2 per cent of those tested (3.0 the previous day).

No new deaths were noted in the last 24 hours with Covid as a contributing factor.

The NHS Greater Glasgow area saw cases 104 (166), Lanarkshire 61 (91) and Lothian 63 (72).

NHS Grampian saw 29 cases (26) while NHS Highland saw 12 (9).

The NHS Grampian area recorded 149 cases in the last seven days taking the overall total to 13,615.

Public Health Scotland's most up to date figures cover the seven days between February 26 and March 4 and show Aberdeenshire recorded 44 cases (down from 47 the previous day) which equated to 1.0 per cent of all tests carried out (down from 1.1) and a positive test rate of 16.8 per 100,000 population of (down from 18.0).

For the same time period, Aberdeen City saw 71 cases (up from 63) equating to 1.5 per cent of all tests (up from 1.3) and positive test rate of 31.0 per 100,000 (up from 27.6).

In the daily area figures case numbers in all areas show suppression of the virus across Aberdeenshire only small case numbers showing in the north-east as a whole with Fraserburgh Central showing an up tick in cases in the last week.
