Coronavirus update: Cases remain static across the north-east

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2636 positive cases of coronavirus (2529 yesterday) which equates to 8.1 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 652 cases and NHS Lothian 534 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 224 (200) new cases while NHS Highland recorded 92 (73) new cases.

For the seven days to July 13 NHS Grampian recorded 1446 cases, taking the total in the area to since the start of the pandemic to 21,138.

In the seven days to July 11 there were 548 new cases in Aberdeenshire (209.8 per 100,000), 774 in Aberdeen City (338.5 per 100,000) and in Moray 107 (111.7 per 100,000).

11 new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 3,948,446 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 2,914,904 people have received their second dose.
