Coronavirus update: Cases remain level in the north-east

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2796 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 7.9 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 569 cases and NHS Lothian 543 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 243 cases while NHS Highland recorded 139 cases.

In the seven days to November 28 Aberdeenshire saw 760 cases (291.4 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 832 (363.2 per 100,000) and Moray 378 (394.9 per 100,000).

Sadly 19 new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,347,880 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,951,364 people have received their second dose.

A further 1,722,225 have received a third dose or booster.
