Coronavirus update: Cases increase in NHS Grampian area

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 992 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 3.9 per cent of those tested overall.

NHS Greater Glasgow saw 304 cases, NHS Lanarkshire 89 and NHS Lothian 213.

NHS Grampian saw 28 new cases while NHS Highland recorded 14 new cases.

In the seven days to June 1 there were 28 new cases in Aberdeenshire (10.7 per 100,000), 40 in Aberdeen City (17.5 per 100,000) and 12 in Moray (12.5 per 100,000).

Two new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 3,326,005 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 2,170,570 people have received their second dose.
