Coronavirus update: Case rise for NHS Grampian

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2997 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 7.6 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 660 cases and NHS Lothian 420 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 269 cases while NHS Highland recorded 96 cases.

In the seven days to September 26, Aberdeenshire saw 986 cases (378.1 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 731 (319.1 per 100,000) and Moray 204 (213.1 per 100,000).

28 new deaths have been recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

Areas which continue to show moderately high numbers of cases in Aberdeenshire include Peterhead, Blackburn and Aberchirder.

To date in Scotland more than 4,186,743 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,835,013 people have received their second dose.
