Coronavirus update: Case levels remain static across the north-east

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 5810 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 10.8per cent of those tested overall

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 1572 cases and NHS Lanarkshire 1025 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 411 cases while NHS Highland recorded 271 cases.

In the seven days to September 5, Aberdeenshire saw 1410 cases (540.7 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 1222 (533.5 per 100,000) and Moray 232 (242.4 per 100,000).

Oldmeldrum, Westhill, Turriff, Kintore, Peterhead, Insch and Inverurie all continue to show high case numbers with no signs of decline in daily rates, while in Moray both Elgin and Keith are also now showing comparable numbers to some areas of Aberdeenshire.

17 new deaths have been recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,130,841 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,74,767 people have received their second dose.
