Coronavirus update: Almost 8000 positive cases identified in Scotland yesterday

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 7833 positive cases of coronavirus.

Of these 4,469 cases were recorded through a positive PCR test.

21 new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,397,912 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 4,064,533 people have received their second dose.

A further 3,184,700 have received a third dose or booster.
