Coronavirus update: Almost 300 new cases in Grampian yesterday

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2768 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 7.1 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 565 cases and NHS Lothian 384 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 298 cases while NHS Highland recorded 140 cases.

In the seven days to October 17, Aberdeenshire saw 906 cases (347.4 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 590 (257.6 per 100,000) and Moray 307 (320.8 per 100,000).

There were 26 new deaths recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,294,116 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,883,886 people have received their second dose.
