Coronavirus update: Aberdeenshire recorded 983 cases this week

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 2581 positive cases of coronavirus which equates to 9.5 per cent of those tested overall.

Amongst these newly reported cases NHS Greater Glasgow recorded 517 cases and NHS Lothian 434 cases.

NHS Grampian saw 227 cases while NHS Highland recorded 91 cases.

In the seven days to October 13, Aberdeenshire saw 983 cases (376.9 per 100,000), Aberdeen City 588 (256.7 per 100,000) and Moray 317 (331.2 per 100,000).

Sadly 21 new deaths were recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

To date in Scotland more than 4,282,132 people have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination and over 3,875,966 people have received their second dose.
