Coronavirus update: 22 new cases in Grampian as vaccine rollout continues

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 572 positive cases which equates to 3.8 per cent of those tested overall.

Two deaths were also recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 as a contributing factor in the last 24 hours.

Almost half of these cases were recorded by NHS Greater Glasgow (171) and NHS Lohian (114) with the remaining cases across Scotland.

NHS Grampian saw 22 cases while NHS Highland saw a further 10 cases.

In the seven days to February 25 there were 74 cases in Aberdeenshire (28.3 per 100,000), 58 in Aberdeen City (25.4 per 100,000) and 41 in Moray (42.8 per 100,000).

Yesterday a further 23,542 people in Scotland received their first dose of the Covid 19 vaccination while 4,334 received their second dose.

To date 31.6 percent of those over the age of 16 in the NHS Grampian area have been received their first vaccination.
