Coronavirus update: Lanarkshire surpasses Glasgow in daily case jump

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 887 positive cases which equates to 5.9 per cent of those tested overall.

NHS Lanarkshire saw 246 cases, Greater Glasgow 234 and Lothian 140 with the remaining cases across Scotland.

NHS Grampian saw 36 cases while NHS Highland saw a further six cases.

In the seven days to November 18 there were 173 cases in Aberdeenshire (66.2 per 100,000) and 133 in Aberdeen City (58.2 per 100,000) .

A total of 37 deaths were also recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 as a contributing factor in the last 24 hours.
