Following on from the successful opening concert of their 2021-22 Season, Inverurie Music presents a recital by the violin/cello duo Gaia on Saturday, November 13 at the Acorn Centre, Inverurie - 8pm (doors open 7.30pm).

Gaia was the Greek goddess of Earth, mother of all life – an idea which helped launch the modern ecology movement and is highly topical currently.

Award winning Scottish musicians, Katrina Lee (violin) and Alice Allen (cello), have discovered, through their research, that a substantial amount of music written by female composers over the last few centuries has been lost, published anonymously or even under a male alias.

They plan to showcase some of these works in their Inverurie concert which is part of an extended Scottish tour.

Tickets are £12 for general admission and free for under 25s in full-time education, and those receiving disability or low-income benefits.

Tickets can be obtained in advance from Eventbrite at: www.eventbrite.co.uk

Tickets are also available from Butterfly Fabrics, 48 West High Street, Inverurie AB51 3QR
