Officers from Banff and Turriff Community Policing Teams have been addressing local concerns in relation to speeding vehicles.
On Thursday they were out on the A95 outside Ordiquhill School, Banff carrying out high visibility speed checks following concerns from the school and local residents
Constable Rachael Davison, Banff Community Beat Officer, said: "We have recently been running a specific operation relating to Road Safety in the Banff and Buchan (West) beat.
"This operation has included speed checks in addition to targeting inconsiderate and illegal parking in Banff Town Centre and in and around local schools.
"The parking operation has run over three days so far with further dates over the next few weeks.
"So far, several drivers have been warned in relation to their parking and some have received parking tickets.
"A number of motorists were warned this morning in relation to the manner of their driving near Ordiquhill School
"I encourage people to think about when and where they are parking their vehicles.
"I also would remind people to drive safely, taking into consideration the weather conditions, dark mornings/afternoons and traffic conditions".
This week has also seen a reminder made to parents in Turriff over parking and and speeding on Meadowbank Road in the town.
Constable Cheryl Morrison from the Turriff Community team said: "We are aware of issues during school hours in relation to anti-social parking that occurs around the school and of speeding on Meadowbank Road.
"We will continue to make speed checks during drop-off and pick up times."
