Ian gave an illustrated talk about his recent visit to the Gambia where he is much involved with the youngsters and their families in local communities.

He has been visiting this beautiful but impoverished country for six years now after his first contact with it through his club Aberdeen St Nicholas Rotary.

Encouraging and sometimes financially helping youngsters to gain an education, on his next visit later this year he is to undertake a new project, working with groups of blind children.

After afternoon tea he was joined by Kemnay man Ian Booth and the duo delighted their audience with a medley of songs, old favourites and new.

The centre's next meeting is on Tuesday, February 25 when the guest will be Lorraine Dack from Kemnay library.
