Buckie area road closures ahead
Two local roads are set to be closed for roadworks over the coming days.
Scottish Water will be working at Kirk Road, Rathven, which will be closed at the junction with Main Road to undertake water connection works. This is scheduled to be concluded by December 15.
The C7L Craibstone to Fordyce at Craibstone Culvert Bridge near Lower Broadrashes, Lower Craibstone is due to remain closed until December 20 due to a damaged bridge. A diversion is in place via C7L, B9018, C4L and C7L.
Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to fix damage to the carriageway on McLaren’s Brae in Buckie caused by torrential rain.
Openreach are due to begin work between December 9-10 at two addresses on Douglas Crescent in Buckie - Nos 50 and 130 - to install fibre duct. This is expected to take three working days.
Street lighting works are planned for Institution Road in Fochabers, commencing between December 11-19 for eight working days.
Still in Fochabers, Scottish Gas Network are installing a new gas connection at No 59 High Street. This should be done by December 19-20.
