The team behind Ellon Legion are reassuring the community that they will reopen .

The Ellon branch of Legion Scotland has, alongside numerous other social venues across the country, closed its doors to help protect its patrons during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

In January the venue faced permanent closure, but the committee who formed at an emergency meeting to discuss the Legion's future have issued reassurances that the doors will be reopened to members as soon as circumstances allow.

The committee were starting to make progress in developing their rescue plan, and they are confident that this can be resumed with similar enthusiasm once it is safe to reopen.

In the mean time, the committee are encouraging members to look out for each other during this difficult time and "act as good neighbours".
