Thanking all the bidders, Clan's head of income Fiona Fernie said: "Wow what a night, I am not sure I have ever had so many emotions in one night.

"Twice we have had to postpone this event due to lockdown and we never though we would get to this point.

"It is a testament to so many that we got here.

"It has raised the profile of what we do and I could not be more proud of all who have been involved."

She continued: "The purpose of tonight was to raise funds for Clan to continue to deliver our first class services.

"The total raised is a reflection of Clan's work, our sponsors and our volunteers and also reflects the support of the public for our charity and reflects the skills and services delivered by Clan.

"Most importantly the funds are for the thousands who will walk though our door on their own cancer journeys.
