Leading breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now, have announced that nearly one million women missed breast cancer screening appointments due to the pandemic. 1

In line with Breast Cancer Awareness month childcare provider Yoopies have launched a campaign, #ReadySetCheck, to help mothers make the time for breast appointments.

#ReadySetCheck aims to prioritise prevention in the fight against breast cancer, as an alarming 8,600 women could be living with undetected breast cancer due to the temporary pause on screenings.

The campaign is encouraging busy Mums to take the time to protect and prioritise their health - from juggling household responsibilities, childcare and work commitments, many Mums already struggle to find the time to focus on themselves and their health.

In light of the pandemic, time feels increasingly stretched, and, with high profile reporting of Covid-19, it’s easy to forget the importance of early diagnosis of breast cancer.

Yoopies want to ensure Mums make the time to be checked with the peace of mind that childcare is covered, whether it’s for a mammogram appointment or to see a GP after noticing an unusual change in their breasts Mums can have two hours of childcare on them.

Anybody interested in claiming their two hours of free childcare, or learning more about the campaign, can visit: yoopies.co.uk/readysetcheck .

To make a claim you will be required to register and upload confirmation of your appointment.
