Barnardo’s Scotland is looking forward to welcoming customers back to its charity shops across Aberdeenshire on Monday, April 26.

This includes its stores in Inverurie and Peterhead as lockdown restrictions are further eased.

And the charity has a few important announcements of its own.

A spokeswoman for Barnardo's said: "The charity has received a constant stream of messages relating to donations – we are delighted to announce that shops will be taking donations from Monday, April 19 - but stress donations should be delivered to the shops during opening hours and not left at the door. There is no need to call prior to visiting.

"We are particularly looking for donations of spring and summer clothing.

"Also our volunteer portal has reopened, so anyone looking for a role should visit the charity's website or contact their local shop."

"We have received new stock from high street retailers and warehouse brands who have closed during lockdown, so there are many bargains to be had on brand new stock. And there will be 50 per cent sale on all autumn and winter stock.

Money raised in the charity’s shops goes directly towards community-based services, supporting children, young people and their families in the local area.
