Good causes are set to get a boost from a community’s VE Day celebrations.

The team who run the café thought they would use the occasion to raise fund for a variety of charities.

Running from 2pm to 4pm, there will be a chance to enjoy a refreshing cuppa along with a choice of sandwiches, sausage rolls, pancakes, scones and cakes, all for just £7 per person.

There will also be a fundraising lucky square on offer.

Earlier in the day, a special VE Day commemoration service will be held at the Scottish Women's Land Army Memorial at Clochan, due to get under way at 11am.

Over in Buckie at midday, a special wreath laying ceremony will be held at the town’s war memorial in Cluny Square at midday, with the local branch of the Legion open for refreshments, free of charge, from 12 noon to 3pm.
