Following on the recent signs of the spread of coronavirus cases to areas across Aberdeenshire, figures updated today show that the spread is continuing across the south and west of the area.

Figures for the seven days to November 29 show that a total of 41 positive results have been made in the Banchory and Crathes area where a week earlier the seven days to November 22 showed less than 10 cases across Banchory east/west and Crathes combined.

Aboyne (five) and Mearns north (11) are also showing increases in cases compared to seven days earlier.

Around Peterhead for the seven days to November 29 there were 72 positive results compared to 40 for the seven day block up to November 22.

For the seven days to November 29, Aberdeenshire as a whole saw 241 cases (92.3 per 100,000) while Aberdeen City saw 191 (83.5 per 100,000).

NHS Grampian recorded 63 positive cases in the last 24 hours, a rise on previous days.
