Build complete on new affordable homes for Portsoy

WORK has finished on a development of 44 new affordable homes in Portsoy.
Sanctuary Homes has completed the project at Park Crescent, which includes 23 houses, 20 cottage flats and a bungalow.
The homes have been built on the site of the former Campbell Hospital, which is now situated in Banff, by Robertson Partnership Homes.
All of the homes are being made available to local residents for social rent.
Gillian Lavety, Sanctuary’s development director – Scotland, said: "We are delighted to complete this exciting development which will provide much needed high-quality affordable housing for the local community.
"The work strengthens our existing housing portfolio in Portsoy and we now look forward to welcoming residents into their new homes."
Sarah Freel, partnerships director at Robertson Partnership Homes, said: "This is our first design and build project with Sanctuary, and despite these uncertain times we have delivered high-quality homes that will stand the test of time.
"Through the delivery of this development for Sanctuary we have been able to support the objectives of Aberdeenshire Council’s strategic housing investment plan and are pleased to have helped improve the area’s affordable housing stock."
As part of wider work in the community, improvements have also been made to the town’s Murray Place playpark.
The project was supported with a £3.9 million grant from the Scottish Government and is a welcome addition to the 18 properties already managed by Sanctuary in Portsoy.
