Buckie under snow 50+ years ago

The more things change the more they stay the same.

This photo from the mid-1960s shows folk dealing with snow in Buckie town centre just like they were this morning.

However, there are also some striking differences to be seen in Cluny Square nowadays.

Note the passing lorry delivering coal, the absence of a roundabout and the fact that the war memorial is in a slightly different place – it was moved a few yards nearer Struan House during the 1970s to improve the sight lines for traffic.
