M&Co on East Church Street raised the money after holding a charity fashion show on May 11.

Store employees, with the help of family and friends, took to the 'catwalk' in store as models for the show which was held in aid of the DEC Red Cross appeal.

Abbie Symon, store manager and fashion show organiser, said: "We had a massive turnout and it was great to see the local community come together for such a good cause.

"We ended up having over 90 guests and everybody absolutely loved it.

"People are still coming in daily telling us how much they loved it and asking when we're holding another one.

"We also had support from local businesses. Be so Crafty raised £206 that went towards our final total and House of Hair Buckie raised a further £100.

"We just can't thank the local community and businesses enough for their support because we know that the funds raised will help people who really need it."

M&Co are holding fashion shows in aid of Ukraine at all of their locations in Scotland. The total funds raised by the business is yet to be revealed with shows still set to take place next month.

Ms Symon added: "We used to do shows twice a year for charity but with the pandemic that obviously wasn't possible.

"It's just been great to get back into the groove of things again and for a good cause as well."
