Brilliant boost for the Bennachie Visitor Centre

Sponsorship of an inaugural ultra run has provided a much welcomed financial boost for a north-east visitor centre.

On the donation Jan Lythgoe of the Bennachie Centre Trust said: "It was my absolute pleasure to welcome Karen Simpson, from the Peterkins Charitable Foundation, and Rod Wallace from the Bennachie Ultra Marathon to the Bennachie Visitor Centre and receive their wonderful donation to the Bennachie Centre Trust.

"The £1000 donation from the Peterkins Charitable Foundation follows their sponsorship of the very first and very successful Bennachie Ultra Marathon last October.

"It was great supporting the event last year and to receive such a generous contribution at this difficult time is fantastic – we can’t thank them enough.

Karen said: “We are delighted to make this donation to the Bennachie Centre Trust.

"The Foundation was created to support local charities such as this and help them in the work they do.

"Like many, I remember coming here as a child and I still enjoy it.

"We hope this will help the Bennachie Centre Trust it’s such a great facility for everyone who visits Bennachie.”
