Farm fire at Rothienorman.

Crews from Scottish Fire and Rescue are tackling a serious fire near Rothienorman.

A spokesman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: "A call was made in relation to a fire at Waulkmill Farm near Rothienorman around 8.45pm.

"We currently have four units attending along with a water carrier and a height vehicle is currently en-route from Aberdeen Central station after a request from crew on site."

There are not thought to be any injuries to persons.

Update: The fire was brought under control shortly after 2.30am today with an appliance remaining at the scene.
