A CUMINESTOWN resident has been brightening up lockdown for locals with her colourful garden displays.

Passers-by have complimented Pearl Gray on her fun floral displays at her Chapel Park home.

While facing health complications, Pearl has flourished and has been delighted that her garden has brightened up the dark days of uncertainty for so many people. She hopes that by sharing them with Advertiser readers that her garden can continue to bring joy to those who are shielding in their homes to protect themselves or their loved ones from coronavirus.

The hard work put into creating the incredible display has not just been about bringing joy to others, however, as Pearl also wants her garden to inspire and motivate anybody who might need a boost, either because of the pandemic or just in general.

Living with diabetes and having survived multiple heart attacks, Pearl hopes that the people who admire her outdoor space can realise that “you can achieve many things if you put your mind to it”.

During lockdown many people had extra time to spend in the garden which has resulted in many well tended gardens across the country which, like Pearl’s, have brought joy to those passing.
