Banff Sailing Club to hold taster sessions during open day

Banff Sailing Club is holding special sessions for people who are interested in taking to the water.

The group is once again taking part in the Royal Yachting Association Discover Sailing event and is inviting members of the public to come along and try the activity for free.

It is holding an open day on Saturday, July 9, which will be held at Whitehills Marina where the club's boats are temporarily based while the repairs at Banff Harbour continue.

Banff Sailing Club commodore Helen Robbins said: "The event will take place from 10am until 3pm and anyone interested in trying sailing and taking up the sport should come along to Whitehills Marina on July 9.

"This event is open to adults; and older children or teenagers should be accompanied by an adult.

"It is free and a great opportunity to try a new activity and enjoy some time on the water in beautiful Banff Bay."
