Committee members and staff of Banff Playgroup and Toddlers walked 14,000 steps a day in July to raise much-needed money.
The community group has seen opportunities to raise funds limited due to the coronavirus lockdown with events like its 90s nights and coffee mornings cancelled.
The group's new treasurer Laurieann Mcdonald came up with the idea to walk 14,000 steps during each day of July and soon a number of committee members and staff joined her in the challenge.
Joint chairwoman of the group Jillian McBain said: "The 14000 steps challenge was Laurieann's idea. She had just taken on the role of treasurer and wanted to do something to help raise money for the group.
"We had to think how we could raise funds for the group without our usual events going ahead due to the pandemic.
"Very quickly a few of us said we would love to join in with the challenge.
"It was a mix of committee members and staff who took part. We set up an event on Facebook and posted pictures of our Fitbit daily totals and of the walks we went on.
"It’s really challenged us but we all kept each other going.
"We are grateful to everyone for their kind donations.
"With all the photos taken of the local area over the past month we are looking at possibly doing a calendar as another fundraiser."
The group's fundraising total is nearing £800 and people can still donate at the Just Giving page here
