The closure of a section of Scotstown, Banff is to be extended by 11 weeks from Thursday, February 3.

Aberdeenshire Council has said that as a result of damage to the seawall and undermining of the road works will take a considerable period of time to be actioned.

The route was recently closed to enable urgent repairs to be carried out.

The closure extends from No.19 west to the car-park, but pedestrian access is being maintained.
