It is considered to be one of the key events in the Scottish calendar.

The organisers of the festival are delighted that ACE Winches is continuing their support for another year.

Roger Goodyear MBE and Keith Newton, two highly experienced event organisers who head up the festival’s group of volunteers, will be working closely with the company in the run up to the event.

Mr Goodyear, festival co-chairman welcomed the support, and said: “The generous support we receive from ACE Winches is critically important for the event, including as it does, both practical and financial help.

"Importantly too, ACE’s involvement acts as a highly effective catalyst for support from other organisations and individuals via the creation of the festival’s patrons club headed up by chief compliance officer at ACE Winches, Valerie Cheyne."

ACE Winches’ background is in the marine and offshore industry, and therefore the company said it had no hesitation in continuing as the main sponsor of the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival.

Mrs Cheyne said: “ACE Winches has no hesitation extending gold sponsorship for the festival for another year.

"Over the past two decades, we have actively provided assistance and support to a number of community initiatives and youth projects.

"Supporting the local area is a key focus of our corporate social responsibility strategy. We are looking forward to working closely with the festival organisers for another year.”

The Scottish Traditional Boat Festival takes place on June 22 and 23. The event engages the local community, bringing together boats, music, crafts, food and drinks to celebrate the region’s cultural heritage.
