Appeal after theft of fuel from Strichen

Police are requesting farmers to remain vigilant following the theft of 100 litres of red diesel, two chainsaws and a compressor from a farm near Strichen.

The incident occurred between Tuesday, June 26 and Tuesday, July 5.

Anyone with information can contact the Police on 101 or via Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference PS-20220705-1264.

North East Division Crime Reduction Officer Constable Urquhart said: "Ensure all external doors are of solid construction with suitable locks or a closed shackle padlock fitted.

"Hide the contents from view using protective grilles on windows if appropriate and ensure property is locked away at night or when not in use."
