Appeal after man assaulted in Peterhead

Police are appealing for information after a 30-year-old man was assaulted at the Children’s Playpark behind Springbank Terrace, Meethill, Peterhead on Sunday.

Around 4pm the man was assaulted whereby he was grabbed to the throat and pushed.

The suspect is described as white, 6ft roughly in height, dark short hair and appeared to be in his 30s.

The suspect had tattoos on his arm and was wearing t-shirt and joggers.

Constable Victoria Mitchell of the Peterhead Community Policing Team said “Thankfully the victim did not sustain any injuries and enquiries into this are ongoing and we urge anyone who witnessed this incident to please get in touch”.
