Appeal after Inverurie assault incident

Police Scotland is appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Inverurie on Monday, November 16.

Around 8pm, a 36-year-old man was assaulted by three men whilst walking his dog on a lane leading from Old Chapel Road to Westfield Gardens.

Officers are keen to trace the men who are all described as being tall and of slim build.

They were all wearing dark clothing.

Detective constable Ian Morrison of Ellon Police Station said : “The victim did not suffer any serious injuries but did require hospital treatment.

“We are particularly keen to trace a man who assisted the injured man home following the assault.

"This man is described as aged in his forties and around 5ft 9in tall.

"He was wearing glasses and a dark coloured hat.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 3239 of November 16.

Alternatively, information can be passed via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.
