Appeal after pedestrian injured in Newmachar hit and run incident

Officers from the Garioch Community Policing Team are appealing for information in relation to a fail to stop road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Oldmeldrum Road, Newmachar.

The collision happened around 4.50pm on Friday, October 1 and involved a black Audi vehicle.

Constable Amy Taylor of the Garioch CPT said “Thankfully the male pedestrian only has minor injuries as a result of the collision.

"I am appealing to anyone with information that may assist the investigation in particular a male motorcyclist who stopped to assist the male pedestrian at the time of the incident.

"I would also appeal to anyone else who was in the area near to the time of the incident and may have dashcam footage to contact Police.”

Anyone with information are asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 2630 of 1 October 2021. An anonymous report can be made to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
