Appeal after Ellon metal thefts

Police are appealing for information after two recent metal thefts in the Ellon area.

Between 6pm on Monday March 1 and 7am on Tuesday, March 2 a theft by housebreaking occurred at Scotia Homes Building site, Newburgh, hereby copper pipings and fittings were stolen.

Anyone that may have seen anything suspicious within the area or knows of any information relating to this, is asked come forward to assist with ongoing enquires quoting incident 453 of March 2.

Police are also appealing for information after lead was stolen from the roof of a local golf club.

McDonald Golf Club in Ellon was targeted between February 17 and March 3.

The culprits caused extensive damage to the back of the club house and the roof facing McDonald Woods.

Anyone with CCTV footage covering the Hospital Road area, or any information, should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
