Appeal after car set on fire in Fyvie

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a car was set on fire outside a house in Fyvie on Saturday, June 5.

Around 12.50am, officers were called to a report of a Vauxhall Corsa car set on fire outside a house on Leith Drive, Fyvie.

A house window was also smashed during the incident.

Constable Caie of Formartine Local Policing Team said: “Luckily no one was injured as a result of this fire.

"Our enquiries are continuing to trace whoever is responsible and I would appeal to anyone who saw someone acting suspiciously in the area, or who has any information on this crime to contact 101 quoting reference 0179 of June 5. "Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
