Barry Robertson, Business Leader at the crematorium, said: “The donation collection was from our 2024 Advent Service of Remembrance at Christmas.

“We pick a different group each year to receive the money, which last year was Buckie RNLI.

“It was our largest collection out of the three services we have done so far, which was great. The paramedics are kept very busy so it took a while to arrange to hand over the cheque, but we are very glad they have it now.

“It is very well well deserved and they were so welcoming and nice when I went down.

“We are always looking for opportunities within the community to donate to. We are currently collecting food and essentials to help the Buckie Community Hub which we take down to them for families less fortunate who need that type of support.”

Receiving the cheque on behalf of the local paramedic team was James Bonnyman, Team Leader for Buckie and Keith Ambulance Stations.

He said: “We’re very grateful to receive this generous donation of £400 from Barry Robertson and the team at Moray Crematorium.

“There are some improvements under ay at Buckie Ambulance Station and the money will go towards buying a couple of new recliner chairs.”

At the moment there are 13 staff stationed at Buckie, which supports one A&E vehicle patient transport vehicle.
