Amanda Leil, née Mclennan, hadn’t been in contact with the residents or many of her colleagues since lockdown began in March.

With that in mind, she decided to come along on her happy day.

Amanda said: "I hadn't seen any of the residents due to being pregnant and asthmatic.

"But I missed them all so much I thought I should drop by."

The secret wedding day visit was planned with the help of Amanda's colleagues Kaye Forsyth and Rhona Bowie.

The staff arranged for residents to sit facing the window after lunch.

Amanda said: "They didn’t know what to expect – it was a complete surprise.

"Some had a wee cry and there were a lot of happy faces."
