As reported in the Advertiser last week , the Adventure 2 has travelled thanks to crew on the Normand Installer to take up the story of the toy ship's travels.

As Mac Ferguson explained: "She is now under way and we will be live tracking Adventure 2 on her trip for the next few months.

"She will ping her tracker four times a day and you can follow her progress on our webpage at https://track-adventure.squarespace.com/

"The tracker is running perfectly and she is sailing east as expected. "

He continued: "We have a few people to thank for helping us get back in he water on our original track.

"First and foremost thank you to Keith Lewis and his wonderful boys Jax, Kai and Fynn, they took responsibility for building Adventure 2 with a little guidance from Pickle and Pipsqueak (Ollie and Harry Ferguson) by video conference during lockdown.

"They copied the original engineering design to the last screw on the basis that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

"Keith launched Adventure 2 from the ship the Normand Installer about 100 km north of Guyana and she has fair winds and a strong current to propel her towards the Caribbean.

"We need to thank the COAST Foundation for covering the cost of the tracking, YB Tracking for their help getting the tracker tuned in to suit our adventure and OPEX for their kind help in keeping our website up and running so we can share the live map.

"Thank you to you all for getting into the spirit of Adventure 2 and helping us continue our sail around the globe."
