As life gradually starts to change as lockdown is slowly relaxed the work of this army of volunteers continues for the vulnerable, shielded and isolated people in your community.

This week Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action are recognising the wonderful, quirky, resourceful things that have been going on all around Aberdeenshire as part of Volunteer Week 2020 which started today.

AVA chief executive Dan Shaw said: “Each year during this week in particular our development officers are out and about in the community surprising and celebrating with groups and individuals giving out our Awards.

"This year we are doing it remotely and featuring special volunteering across all our social media platforms.”
