Public PC access is now available at a number of Aberdeenshire libraries.

This is addition to the Click and Collect and doorstep delivery services that were introduced.

People can now book a slot to use a computer at Inverurie, Ellon, Peterhead and Fraserburgh libraries.

The hour-long slots allow 45 minutes of use and the chance for staff to clean the area between users, who are asked to wear face coverings.

Slots can be booked online to use public PCs at some Aberdeenshire libraries.

A Live Life Aberdeenshire spokesman said: "The opportunity to collect, or have delivered, new books, hearing aid batteries from the NHS and curricular support resources has been very popular so far.

"While Live Life Aberdeenshire’s digital library services have been very well used during lockdown, there has been great demand for increased access to materials only available in libraries, as well as access to public computers.

"The new services allow customers and staff to remain socially distant and safe, while still getting what they need to make lockdown more bearable."

A new online system has been developed alongside a phone service to book time slots and resources. A live chat function is also available on the Live Life Aberdeenshire website.

Customers can return items to any of the participating sites.

To book a slot or for more information call 01467 532929, with the phone line open from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
