Moray and Aberdeenshire travel – A96 to close later this month between Keith and Huntly for resurfacing work





The A96 will close completely between Keith and Huntly later this month while half-a-mile of the road is resurfaced.

The work is scheduled to begin near the village of Cairnie on Wednesday, March 12.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place during daylight hours, while a convoy system will be in operation at night.

The road will then shut completely from 7.30pm on Friday, March 14 until 6.30am the following Monday.

Traffic going in both directions will be diverted via Dufftown.

Temporary traffic lights and convoy systems will then be put in place again until the scheduled finish time at 6.30am on Wednesday, March 19.

Amey is spending £330,000 on the project which had to be postponed last spring due to adverse weather conditions.
