A nine year old has set himself an ambitious challenge to raise money for an Inverurie charity.

Throughout the month of June James Airzee challenged himself to run every day in hopes of raising £100 for Inverurie and District Men's Shed.

He has already smashed his target, collecting more than £500 from friends and family so far, and he will continue to collect donations until the end of the month.

Anybody wishing to donate online can do so through: gofundme.com/f/Inverurie-district-mens-shed.

Chairman of Inverurie And District Men's Shed Archie Peebles said: "James's mother approached us and informed us of his intention to help us by running on a daily basis.

"We are absolutely delighted that he wishes to support us in this way."

Men's Shed is an internations organisation which supports men's mental wellbeing through social interaction and skill sharing, and Inverurie's is one of more than 150 sheds in Scotland.
