The former kirk is situated right in the heart of Portgordon at 9 High Street.

According to the property brochure available on the Church of Scotland’s website, the kirk building is not listed and could be used without the necessity of obtaining change of use consent. Possible uses listed include as a crèche, day nursery, day centre, educational establishment, museum, art gallery or public library. It also has potential for a variety of other uses, such as a theatre, cinema or entertainment venue, retail space or community resource subject to obtaining appropriate consents.

A number of other churches across Moray and the north-east have been closed or are due to close as a result of cost-saving measures brought in by the Church of Scotland.

Enzie Parish Church was originally built in 1901 before being linked with Buckie South and West Church in the 1990s.
