New Pitsligo Visual Arts, organised by New Pitsligo Community Council, returned this year to finally celebrate its 40th exhibition.

After two years of cancelled events - with the landmark exhibition due to be marked in May 2020 - artists and makers had lots of completed projects to show off, with over 250 entries on show in New Pitsligo Public Hall across the two day event.

These included paintings, drawings, photographs, woodwork, sculptures and wool crafts as well as, of course, lace.

Across the road in St John’s Church the children’s exhibition also boasted an array of artworks submitted by local schools and individuals alike.

Throughout the day guests to watch demonstrations, bringing the arts to life.

There were demonstrations in wood turning, lace making and sketching.
