The restriction will be in place from 7pm-6am each night for the safety of workmen carrying out £127,000 of improvements to the road surface.

Temporary traffic lights will also be in place at the site east of Bainshole near Huntly.

Bear Scotland says the project is due to be completed by 6am on Friday, February 4, subject to weather conditions.

Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North East representative, said: "Regrettably there will be some delays, but our teams will do all they can to complete the scheme as safely and quickly as possible.

"We thank motorists for the patience in advance."
