Police issue drink and drive warning

POLICE have reiterated a ‘Don’t drink and drive message’.
That follows a weekend of action in the Aberdeenshire and Moray areas.
Two men, aged 36 and 26 were due to appear in Aberdeen Sheriff Court after failing to provide a breath specimen on Sunday in the Blackburn and Kintore areas.
A further six men aged between 19 and 25 were also charged in relation to drink driving in the Laurencekirk, Peterhead, Banff, Buckie and Fraserburgh areas between Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14.
The men are anticipated to appear at court at a later date.
Roads Policing Inspector Ewan Innes said: "Our message is clear - don’t drink and drive. It is disappointing that so many motorists have been stopped for drink driving in a relatively short period of time.
"I would urge motorists to again think ahead if they are out for an evening and having a drink that they plan their journey home. Arrange for a designated driver, take public transport or book a taxi. It is not worth risking it."
